Current activity

I work at Spotify in the Creator Technology Research Lab in Paris led by professor and musician François Pachet. My mission is bridging the gap between between creative artists and intelligent technologies.
Previously I worked as research assistant for the Pierre-and-Marie-Curie University at the Sony Computer Science Laboratory of Paris and worked for the ERC project Flow Machine. I studied human interaction paradigms that arise when applying such systems to music improvisation and music accompaniment tasks. One of the main goals of this research was to study creativity and how to foster it in human activities.
My previous academic research also includes unsupervised music generation and ensemble performance analysis, this research was carried out during my M.Sc. and Ph.D. at the Music Technology Group (DTIC, Pompeu Fabra University). I have a double degree in Mathematics from Bologna University, and I am interested in the areas of Mathematics and Computer Science. Especially: Machine Learning, Signal Processing, Dynamical Systems, Graph Theory and Statistics. I have a formal education in classical guitar and Music plays an important role in my life.
